John Lewis are making a multi million investment in their beauty halls.

£9 million to be exact!

Ed Connolly their beauty and fashion buying director stated, “cosmetics and personal care are a major driver of our footfall and sales in the sector have risen by a third over the last 5 years.”

Get this, beauty is now outselling fashion across their stores!

This just has to be the most exciting and positive thing I’ve heard all year.

If one of our most iconic department stores is backing beauty then the industry is BOOMING!

As part of their investment they are looking to increase their beauty hall floor space and introduce new brands.

This could be you………..

You could have your products sitting on John Lewis shelves alongside MAC, Chanel, Jo Malone and Marc Jacobs.

Seriously, you could.

Only last week I was chatting with a Destination Beauty Brand member who has just been listed with them.

She’s a beauty entrepreneur like you.

She gets up every morning and faces the same challenges as you.

She dreamt big, aimed high and nailed it!

And you can do the same.

Pitching to big retailers like John Lewis takes some courage.

You have to approach them with confidence.

You need to knock their socks off with your amazing, unique products.

But that isn’t enough.

You need the magic ingredient.

The deal clincher.

Retail Ready Logistics!

How will you get your products to the their warehouse?

Where will you keep the volume of stock they need?

How will you be able to react to the short order lead times?

Is your packaging and labeling compliant?

These are the challenges you have to face to work with high street retailers.

You can’t ignore them and hope they will go away.

You have to face them head on.

Investing in your systems and processes means you’ll be ready to jump on every exciting opportunity that comes your way.

It might be John Lewis, it might be Harrods or Boots or Superdrug.

Whatever your dream it pays to have all that behind the scenes stuff ready.

Who are you thinking of pitching to?

Are you retail ready?
