One of the biggest challenges facing indie brands is finding beauty ingredient suppliers who have low MOQs (minimum order quantities). Historically indie brands have found it difficult to find ingredients suppliers who will offer low volumes but this is changing and it was particularly evident at In Cosmetics Global this year.
Indie brands are making such an impact on our industry that big organisations like In Cos are recognising that they need to reshape and redefine their business to serve brands just like yours. In turn where the big, global organisations lead the industry suppliers must follow. So this year, for the first time we saw an Indie Beauty Trail at In Cos Global.
Here’s what In Cos have to say about it
“Indie Brands, they’re influential, they’re savvy, they get millennials, and in-cosmetics Global is an excellent opportunity for Indie brands to discover the latest innovations in personal care.
Based on feedback, Indie brands often need more support sourcing ingredients in smaller quantities. This year, to streamline how Indie Brands navigate the exhibition, we are launching the Indie Trail guide.
The guide will list exhibitors at the show who can provide ingredients in quantities to suit a 100kg production, helping Indie brands navigate the show toward exhibitors who can cater to their business needs.”
Amazing isn’t it!
The industry that you and I adore is gaining such momentum that it is fundamentally changing the way organisations and companies work. Indie Beauty is beginning to define the future!
I am pretty excited about this and I bet you are too!
We also saw an indie beauty panel sharing stories of their journey and taking questions from the audience for the first time at In Cos. It featured Sam Farmer, Founder of Sam Farmer, Dom and Elise from ByBi and Ada Ooi, Founder of 001Skincare. It was such a good session and the energy and vibe was totally electric!
It’s difficult to capture the indie beauty buzz that throbbed through the event here in a blog but take it from me you are making a difference and the future is definitely bright for the indie beauty entrepreneur.
OK, I know I’ve gone totally off topic, but I am just so excited about the indie beauty focus I just needed to share it.
Back to the subject of today’s blog – beauty ingredient suppliers who have low MOQs.
If you missed In Cos and didn’t have the opportunity to walk the trail don’t panic, they have a page on their website that list all the suppliers who got involved. So, just CLICK HERE and you will go straight through. EASY!
That’s it for this week. A simple, straight forward blog that gives you direct access to a large number of ingredient suppliers who want to work with you.
Oh, and a little bit of a motivational message to give you a fire in your belly about just how influential and important indie beauty is becoming!
Keep hustling beautypreneur, indie beauty is on the cusp of world domination!
Loads of indie hugs and love, Rachel xxxx
