All my blogs this month have been focusing on gifts and there’s a good reason for this.

RIGHT NOW is the PERFECT time to get your gift strategy mapped out and on track ready for Christmas.

So far we’ve looked at where to find inspiration for gifts and how to create WOW factor gifts that don’t break the bank.

I’m hoping by now that your creative juices are flowing, that you have loads of ideas and are busy designing and planning.

Just in case you’re still unsure how to progress, today I thought we’d have a quick look at some of the WINNING GIFT FORMULAS that the big brands use.

I guess these are like set pieces in hockey, netball or football.

They are designs that have been tried and tested and sell every time.

If you’re struggling to get your gift concept up and running you can’t go far wrong if you choose any of the below.

DUOS – pair up products that go together. Hand wash and hand cream, lipstick and a compact mirror, exfoliating scrub and soothing moisturiser, shave cream and a shave brush

TRIPLES – these work well if you have a range of similar products. 3 lip gloss, 3 lipsticks, 3 nail varnish. They’re also great for skincare brands who can offer a cleanser, toner and moisturiser

TRAVEL PACKS – an amazing way to introduce a customer to your range. Don’t forget to include a money off voucher to encourage them to buy a full size product

SELECTION PACKS – brilliant if you have a wide range of flavours or scents

KEEPSAKES – create a gift that includes something the customer can use beyond the life of your products. A basket, tin, soap holder, wash bag, shopping bag

DONATIONS – reward customers who buy your gifts with the knowledge that a % of the cost of the gift will be donated to a charity

ADVENT CALENDARS – this is the new kid on the block, but all the major brands and retailers are doing it
